SBA continues throughout 2020 Lockdown

2020 SBA Lockdown Projects

The coronavirus lockdown in Spring 2020 meant that SBA were not allowed to meet. Instead, the players recorded their own parts and sent them to Lauren Hickman, who compiled them into TWO amazing performances: Academy Band played Game of Thrones, Senior Ensemble played The Sweeney.

Please be advised that the committee of the SBA have taken the decision to cancel the remaining two rehearsals this term, following Government directives.

We will keep you informed of when rehearsals will re-commence as soon as information is available to us.

Folkestone Rotary Club Donation

We were so thrilled to be the beneficiaries of Rotary Club of Folkestone's annual fund raising this year. Chairman Bill Wright and Secretary Peter Woodward-Bailey came along to enjoy our Christmas family concert on 15th December and handed over a cheque for £2500! Such a enormous amount of money for us. We will be putting it to good use on instruments for our 60 strong academy of young players over the coming months. A huge thank you to The Rotary Club and all their members for their generosity, from everyone at SBA.
